The Clamour For A Change

From the Americas to the Bahamas, From Europe to Antarctica, From wall-street down to the NSE, The dynamics of the world would forever remain an evolutionary trend as man continues to tackle his imminent challenges headlong. Though, in a seemingly challenging globe where the quest for change keeps proliferating in leaps nd bounds, then, there is absolutely no gain saying "All hands must be on deck" as the clamour for change lies in the togetherness of a concretize effort. From time immemorial, historical accounts and facts have been a vivid repository on how Nations who craved for change scaled through this socio-economic cum political gargantuan height of mount Olympian. From a cursory glance, it would be observed from an axiomatic stand point of rationality that such high-falautine landmarks wasn't achieved in isolation as both the leader and the led was actively sunked in the struggle and eventual success of the needed 'Change'. A quick example of the aforementioned is glaringly evidenced in the Industrial Revolution which took place between the 18th and 19th centuries, a period which pre-dominantly saw certain agrarian regions into industralized sublets both in Britain and Europe. However, the concept of change though popular, but it's peculiarity is witnessed only in Nations where the governed and the Government posses strident synergy towards development as seen in Nations like Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Japan, China, Australia and the Americas. All this nations as highlighted never achieve such feat through slumbering and procrastination as both the young and old took the bull by the horn in the quest for a better life through proper cleansing of the system no minding the political, religious and socio-cultural affiliations. Hmm!No bi small Nationalism be dat oh! Oh yes! Nationalism and patriotism cannot be better imagined or over emphasised in this context even though such contamination is rare in this part of our world(the contemporary African dynasty). Who are these people? These are the people whose lands are badly soiled, these are the persons whose waters are seriously contaminated, these are the individuals whose condition of living is nothing to write home about as they live below the poverty line, these are the people whose region is been ravaged by very avoidable epidemics but still these are the same people who allows ethno-religious sentiments to eclipse their sense of reasoning and rationality towards good governance as they rather would prefer a bad egg to a good one just because of their selfish political ideologies and social idiosyncrasies.*sigh* Oh Good God! These are my people! My own people! Flesh nd blood! they want change but are yet to be identified with change itself. They clamour for a change but alas, they are not prepared to have a changing mindset and orientation. They need an over night change but alas, they still practised politics like Nomads who are yet to come to terms with civilization and modernization. Hmm! My heart bleeds. A region where everybody needs change but Nobody seems ready to be the change he wishes. Hmm! ' the mata hard oh' as my people will always say. It is very obnoxious and ludicrous when an Average Afican( A spectacle on the Nigeria case) says' if e lyk make he spoil, afterall, shey na my papa get am' hmm! Very strong statements indeed, though,in the negative direction if we may concur . Now, Haven consider this analogy and logic, the metaphysics then poses a big question mark as to the 'When' nd 'How' do we get this needed change when our psyche has been indoctrinated by the political class whose concept about governance is based on the enrichment and nourishment of the few to the mal-nourishment of the majority. Hmm! 'God is watching'. Well, a word they say is enough for the wise as narrow is way for those who love God remains the sole comfort for those who still thinks that 'the pen will forever remain mightier than the sword'#OneNaija#ClamourForChange................Conclusively, it is my belief that one day, Africans will begin to have the proper mindset that carries the African dream rather than their selfish and myopic doctrines. (A case study narrowed to a Nigerian carrying the Nigerian dream instead of their personal rules of engagement). For the definition of developments and Change remains engraved in this noble lines of Mahamma Gandhi which reads "We mirror the world, all the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his nature, so does the altitude of the world changes towards him. This is the divine mystery supreme. A wonderful thing it is and the source of our happiness. We need not wait to see what others do"
