.... Lagos-based lawyer, Festus Keyamo, on Friday slammed those accusing President Muhammadu Buhari of being lopsided in his appointments of Nigerians into various positions in the government. There had been an uproar since Thursday when a new set of appointees were made with Senator Ita Enang emerging as the only appointee from the southern part of the country. So far, out of the 42 appointments made by the President, 35 are occupied by northerners and this has drawn some concerns. But reacting to the growing protests against the appointments, Keyamo said the protests were “nothing but orchestrated frustration of a few jobless politicians who depend only on government appointments as their means of livelihood and, of course, the noise of the latest opposition party in town.” Keyamo said majority of Nigerians want to see good governance and care less about the ethnic origin of those appointed into positions as long as they can assist the government meet its goals. “My worry is tha...
