Bribed’ high court judges to cross-examine Anas

Ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, could be hauled for cross-examination if the Judicial Council grants the wish of lawyers for beleaguered judges involved in a bribery scandal.

The lawyers who are yet to watch the damning video of their clients allegedly taking bribes before administering justice said they want Anas present while they watch the film.

Joy News’ Elton Brobbey who has been monitoring development of the scandal at the corridors of the judicial system said some of the 12 high court judges involved in the act have submitted their written results.

The Judicial Council yesterday gave the beleaguered judges 24 hours to submit their written responses on the bribery allegation.

The Council is expected to meet again, study the responses and decide whether to suspend them or take any other action against them.

Already, the 22 circuit court judges and magistrates who were also captured in the video taking bribes have been suspended.
