Two Weeks Old Baby Sold For N136, 000

With the rate of baby factory proliferation like some sort of a textile industry, one might be tempted to assumed the insanity of those in engage in such monstrous act. They get involved and latter make the 'devil' famous when caught.
Here is the story of a trado-medical practioner who was reported  to have sold a two-week nd a four year old baby at Ipaja area of Lagos state.
                            Mrs Oluwakemi-Buyer
Mr Onolaja Olawale, who happen to be a trado-medical practitioner who decided to add a little flair to the business of trado-medicine was alleged to have engage a couple who obviously have fallen short of the ultimate Gift from God for 6years.
Mr Olawale who informed the couple that the biological parents of the kids were dead decided to try the fruitility of his 'trade-o-baby-medical' business firsthand as he was alleged to have sold the baby for N136, 000.
consequently, trouble started when neighbours started raising eyebrows as thy have cliam to the best of their knowledge not to have seen Mrs Oluwakemi Ayogbinle pregnant, hence smelt a rat nd contacted the nearest police station.
It was however discovered that the baby was sold to the couple when the suspects was paraded by the lagos state commissioner for police, Mr Fatai Owoseni as further investigation reveals that the said trado-medical practioner was a family friend to the true parent of the sold baby.
The True mother of the sold baby(Mrs Idiat Babatunde) who happen to have just finished her higher National diploma(HND) at the Fed.Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State left the baby under the watchful eyes in the home of the principal suspect at Ikola Ipaja in a bid to quickly conclude arrangement for her compulsory one year NYSC service eight days after delivery.
Sadly, Mr Olawale invited the couple who came for adoption and subsequent arrangement was concluded for the transfer of the baby to their new found home.
Olawale who did not deny this accusations in any capacity claimed that the mother of the baby was very much aware of the trade and that he gave her N70,000 as her share of this unholy act.
He said: “Mrs Babatunde gave me the baby to take care of because my wife is also breastfeeding.  We have been family friends . But when I discovered that taking care of two children at the same same time was burdensome on my wife,  who gave birth through caesarean, I decided to give the baby to a client who I have been giving concoction for child birth.  I informed the baby’s biological mother before giving the baby out. I told her that the baby would be with the new mother for three months.
“I collected N130,000 from the new mother, Mrs Oluwakemi Ayogbinle, and an additional N6,000 which I said would be used to process adoption forms at Alausa, Ikeja, to avoid any embarrassment. I even gave the biological mother N70,000 out of the money.
“The actual amount I told the new parents was N300,000. But they only paid N136,000.”
Hmm! Mrs Babatunde who denied any knowledge of this happenings not to talk of receiving some sort of a payment said that she kept the baby under the care of the Olawales based on trust as she never had wished the Olawales would bring her such misfortune.
Similarly, Mrs Ayogbile who explained her predicaments stated that her actions was based on her misfortune of her barren nature for six years  which had made her husband to abandon her.
Ayogbile said: “I have been taking herbs from Mr Olawale since 2013 because of the incessant miscarriages.  After several effort to get pregnant proved abortive, my husband left our home last year.
“At a point, Olawale suggested I should adopt a baby. He called me on Monday to come for a baby. I decided to contact my husband because of the amount Olawale demanded. But my husband insisted that he must have documents to  back up the adoption before he would take the baby. So, he brought N136,000 as part payment.”
