Appeal court Nullifies David Mark Election

The Election of the then senate president David Mark was nullified by a court of appeal sitting in Markurdi, Benue State yesterday. The court who faulted the decision of the Independent National Electoral commission INEC to have declared Mr David Mark of the peoples democratic party winner of the march 28 senatorial election in Benue south, has invariably ordered for a rerun election within 90days.

consequently, it will be recalled that sometime in October this year, both the state and National Assembly tribunal sitting in Murkurdi all upheld the said victory of the Mr Mark who happen to contest the election with  Daniel Onjeh the candidate of the All progressive congress APC.

Donald Onjeh who had earlier challenged the decision of independent National electoral commission to have declared Mr Mark winner argue the facts on irregularities and other non compliance stating that the results was already announced by INEC while collation was still going on in several local government.

Meanwhile, with this judgement by the appeal court, the game seems to be opened once again as the duo prepares for yet another electioneering battles.

Similarly, Sen. Mark has urged his fan and supporters to remain calm and peaceful while stating that all seems to be in control.

The city of Manchester still continues to count their loss as they search for unending answers why they have been made victims of such dastardly act. The Manchester arena couldn't be more sorrowful after the attack as sympathisers alongside friends and families of bereaved troop in to count their loss in honour of those who died.
