As the pontiff plans a visit to the kenya, the news have been greeted with great passion and enthusiasm as the people of kenya gets ready to welcome the pope in his first ever visit to Africa.
The pope who is also billed to visit Uganda and the Central Africa Republic has played down fears regarding his safety during his visit by saying "I'm more worried about the mosquitoes."
The pope visits according to a leading Muslim cleric will give hope to "downtrodden in the slums" which indicates a show of belonging for them.
Abdalla Kwamana, the vice-chairman of the Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims, has expressed satisfaction in the visit as he promised to attend the inter-faith session.
"It is often said that Kenya is owned by the rich and powerful. The people in the slums are never recognised," Mr Kwamana told the BBC's Newsday programme.

Similarly, an atheist group in Kenya has argued the constitutionality of Thursday been declared as public holiday in honour of the potiff visitation as they promised to go to court.
"The constitution clearly states that there shall be no state religion. We cannot have the government acting religiously," its leader Harrison Mumia said, Nation FM radio station reports.
Pope Francis is expected to discuss a large range of as he tackle corruption, poverty and religious conflict during his visit, which will start with a meeting with President Kenyatta.
