Fatal stabbing at swedish asylum home
Swedish prime minister Stefan Lofvan in his reaction to the death of a 22year old young employee at the centre for young asylum seekers, expressed his dissatisfaction and sadness at the very awkward events.
Stefan who visited the centre for unaccompanied migrants in moindal near Gothenburg after the incident, described the situation as a "terrible crime".
Similarly, 15year old asylum seeker who committed the crime has been arrested for stabbing 22year old employee Alexandra Mezher who unfortunately died in a hospital due to her injuries.
According to Stefan "I believe that there are quite many people in Sweden who feel a lot of concern that there can be more cases of this kind, when Sweden receives so many children and youth, who come alone [to seek asylum]" he was quoted as saying by Radio Sweden.
Though authorities confirmed the situation is under control, residents of the home whose age bracket ranges 14 - 17 has thus been to a different accommodation for the meantime.
A police source indicate the knife used by the attacker on the victim has been recovered.
Recall that Sweden accepted almost 163,000 asylum applications last year, almost a third of them from Syria. Migration officials say 35,400 unaccompanied minors sought asylum in Sweden in 2015, five times the number in 2014.
