is the former Chief of Defence Staff really remanded in jail
Integrity according to some school of thought remains the ability of doing that which evades irresponsibility. To this school of logical reasoning, they holds the view that a being should think very meticulously before he leaps in all ramifications.
Though, no man is infallible, but according to myth and believe, it's the absolute responsibility of the homo saipen to use his God giving free will in accordance to his chose. Similarly, if that is taken, then, it leaves man with two conclusions viz; rationality and irrationally.
Julius Ceasar wasn't a saint, but then, his earthly sojourn within the am bits of both space and time was enough for him to have written his name in the imprint of sands and time. Sure! It is never out of place for some to argue on the sole fact that no man is perfect. Well, as sound as this argument may seems, one thing is very clear and that is - if a saintly position is given to any individual, two things becomes a requirements viz; it is either the said individual declines such offfer, or betterstill jumps to its acceptance with the sole allegiance to preserve the faith and purity of such office.
Now, if this is correct, what is the rationale behind individuals who gets public offices, assumes the position considered as sacred, then resort to stealing at the long run. Isn't that irresponsibility, a total flux of the law and gross insanity? How can public officers especially those occupying the highest offices of the land, who swore to protect and live by the allegiance of such office, resorts to stealing and engages self in certain financial ignobolity? Hmm! Contradiction is a disease of the mind indeed.
Be that as it, let's take a short analysis concerning those who occupies some of the highest offices in the land. Now, stealing in whatever capacity is no doubt abominable, but then, it takes two to tango. However, to the fact the it happens in level 4 and 5, does that make it right in level 12 and 17? How can the office whose measure objective is to protect and guard lives and property, ensures safety and stability in the land, fight crimes and ensures a calm atmosphere then resorts to stealing and crass corruption? Isn't that an absolute abuse of his office? Isn't that gross mischief and a total contradiction of what should have been the case? How can one man engages self in such crimes considered to be tantamount as sins against humanity? Na wa oh!
The office of the Chief of defence Staff no doubt is considered as a pivot in any civilised climes where the threshold of security is needed to raised above high bars. This office along with some other of it relatives forms the supreme military council chains whose responsibility is geared towards ensuring the safety of lives of her citizen by providing the needed whewittal in the prosecution of such cause. Similarly, if at the long run, such persons who ordinarily should ensure a better security strenght now turns around to compromise his office by engaging in both dirty and shady deals, then, to whom does our safety now lies?
It is so sad that Nigeria public office holders barely have a face for shame when they compromise themselves against moral norms and values. It is an irony indeed to see those who ought to know the law turns out themselves as outlaws when discharging their funtions. How insane it has become for corruption to be considered a normal thing in the public space? Hmm! This is madness of the highest order.
That innocent Nigerians are been killed on a daily basis just because somebody somewhere diverted the money meant for the prosecution of such warfare, is enough crime to be considered as treason able. That innocent schoolgirls where whisked away from their school and nobody saw it coming, is enough crime to be considered as monstrous against the state. That our security and military combatants are on a daily basis been exposed to deadly attacks, is enough crime to be considered as obvious murder against the state. That our military intelligence is now at the mercy of the deadly extremist group, is enough crime against Man and God.
Who is responsible? The big question that now points only to a selected few who obviously compromised the integrity of their various offices when the temptation became too juicy to reject. Hmm! Poverty, is indeed a state of the mind. The soul that sineth no doubt "should die" as the biblical accounts wasn't joking with words when such marble of words became engraved in our holy books. #JusticeMustBeDone
