Allyson felix beaten to Gold by diving Miller

American sprinter Allyson Felix got her Rio Olympic shocker earlier today as she was beaten to the first position by Shauna Miller of the bahamas to claim the Gold in the 400m women finals. Allyson who was clear favourite after her stunning outing in both the Beijing and London summer Olympics, was stunned by a more resilient Shauna who led the pack by diving successfully at the finish line to beat Allyson to the Gold while Jamaican Shedricka  Jackson came third.

Allyson who had previous won Gold in the 200 meters title at the 2012 London Olympics was craving for her fifth Gold but unfortunately fell prey to a shauna miller whom she had beaten at the last year world championship.

The 30-year old who is on her fourth Olympics sojourn has now won a total of seven medal making her the most decorated female track and field athletes of all time. Though she had crave for Gold but her feat achieved is just well enough to put her name in the sands of time.

Similarly, a more ecstatic Miller said she was indeed grateful to have come this far in achieving that which she have crave for all her life. "  This is the moment I was waiting for, I gave it all my all" the 22-year old told reporters.

" I just so happy, so grateful, such emotions i just can't explain. I have been going through so much this year, I think people at home will be celebrating this right".

Miller becomes the first athlete to give the island nation her first Gold in Rio.
