The 67-year old political veteran strategist recently came under serious intense public scrutiny after the New York Times reported that the Ukrainian government had uncovered ledgers pledging more than $12m dollar in an undisclosed cash payment for his work for former president Viktor Yanukovych. Though, it is unclear why Mr. Manafort took this very sudden decision, but reports indicates that ever since the recent shakeup in the Donald Trump campaign team, things hasn't got well along with Mr. Manafort whose position now seems merely passive rather than active.

In a statement signed by the billionaire cum politician, Real Donald Trump thanked Mr. Manafort for his stay in his team as campaign chairman while serving in due diligence and integrity.

"This morning  Paul Manafort offered and i accepted the resignation from the campaign" Mr Trump said--"I am very appreciative for his great work in helping to getting us where we are today, and in particular, his work guiding us  through the delegates and convention process" ---"Paul is a true Professional, and i wish him the greatest success" he ended.

Manafort who is a veteran in his field as a consultant cum strategist, has anchored several Republicans presidential campaign over the years. This include likes of Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, George H.W Bush, Bob Dole. He is also known for his successful lobbying efforts on behalf of political leaders like Jonas Samvimbi (Former Angolan political and military leader) , Viktor Yanukovych  and foreign dictators such as Ferdinard Marcos(Former president cum dictator of the Philippines)  and Mobutu Sese Seku(Military dictator and Former president of the democratic republic of Congo).
