The task ahead for Mr. President
Just like a eureka moments, when nobody expected his return, just when political pundits and social analyst have given him a dead card, just when very the fierce oppositions and political never do well have placed him below mother-earth even without the creator's consent, he showed up like a ghost daring the odds and reclaiming the longtime victory over all considerations,to the admiration of all as both friends, well-wishers and foes cheered him as he gallantly and fearlessly touched down the tarmac of the Kaduna International airport on board air force one.
Surely, it was a moment nobody saw coming as both political illusionists and social commentators delusion-ed themselves on the state of Mr. President health with different perceptive idea that beat both commonsense and rationality. The story continued on a much larger scale when others revealed that Mr. President must have ditched his constitutional functions due to his inability to steer up the the political cum economic realities that is currently facing the country to a balance level.
Well, as it is always said, uneasy lies the head that weasr the crown. Just like wide fire, the news broke once again when President Buhari decides not to return as earlier bargained due to doctors recommendations. On receiving the news about his continued stay in the U.K (London) and subsequent postponement of his return, political gentiles and philistines again rose to the occasion as they now confirmed their worse fears about Mr. President absence. While some inadvertently had committed his remains into some kind of external obituary, others just assumed a complete incapacitation as they searched for a new president in their unholy and patriotic world similar to that of a "fools paradise" but in this case the paradise was otherwise replaced with " insanity". hmm! Nigerians are in for a big shocker!
So was the tale here in Nigeria even when the president's henchmen kept the monotonic view of an healthy and alive president.
Suddenly, his Abuja house in London began receiving flock of visitors as they strode the Kaduna International Airports with the intention of landing sarcastically at the London Hear-throw. Both those with good intentions and very egregious feelings walked ironically through the Hearthrow tarmac immediately they disembarked from their first class airliner. The perceived obvious no doubt was the clear intention of majority of received guest who got frozen on seeing the Nigerian President not just alive but also mentally balanced. Hmm! What a serious shocker!
Well, while others in Nigeria still continued to blow hot about the President true state of health, here come some of the "doubting Thomas's " as they surfaced with glaring pictures displaying the unexpected to the amazement of all the evil-soothsayers and cunning sorcerers. Well, just like they say, in every twelve, there must an adamant Judas. Subsequently, not in this present case on this current issue of seemingly National debate as there exist too many Judas's who though have seen pictures but still refused to believed as they tagged it "Photoshop" shipped throw Hearthrow just to convinced the gullible. Hmm! Gullible indeed!
The Journey which started on the 19th of Jan. 2017 when Mr. President legally informed the Nigerian congress on his seemingly vacation, thus transferring all executive powers to Vice President Yemi Osibanjo who now approvingly took the presidential role in acting capacity soon began its process in positive evolution. Ever since then, governmental maintenance and running haven't cease to stop as infact, the political cum socio economic landscape fed and fared well despite the odds as there was indeed no vacuum created both in words and action prior to the president's arrival.
Forty nine days after, the long wait soon ended in surprises as the journey from Nigeria to London which commenced 49 days ago ended with a gallant return of president Buhari as the Nigeria airforce one aircraft wheels touched amazingly the black tarmac of the Kaduna International Airport to the admiration of all those who watched the beautiful scenery as Mr. President waved cheerfully to Nigerians in recognition of their fervent patient, watch and pray moments while he sojourned.
Sure, it was a happy moment, but then, as president Buhari steady's his strength once again at the west wing of the Nigerian Aso Villa since Monday, 13th March in resumption of his constitutional responsibility, adherent and advocates have once again resumed their clamour for a speed-up process in revitalizing and revamping the economy to a more comfortable position. This no doubt sequels the good job which has been witnessed by majority of Nigerians as performed by the brilliant team he left behind while in London. No doubt, even the greatest of all blind men could attest to this fact as both foes, friends and well-wishers for once find a common ground to this one fact.
Nigerians while banking on their president new found strength both in body and soul, however seek his magic hand in advancing the new found economic policy direction set-up in his absence to a greater height beneficial to the regular citizen who now watch in calmness as they hope for a better change both in the spiritual and physical touching all aspect of the Nigerian sector, given the challenges and difficult it has faced in recent time.
The task ahead president Buhari no doubt is inundating, but in the spirit of determination, focused energy and strident measures where necessary and when needed, these challenges could be better transformed into a successful come through with ease.
While some are already seeing a ministry shake-up soon, others envisage some kind of a rearrangement different from the staus quo nolens volens. Be that as it may, the regular Nigerian seems uninterested with such highfalutin political wagons and jargon's as theirs remains the purview of a good life and better economic stability that indeed will bring food to the table.
