Gunners reaches FA cup final
The Wembley arena was a sight to behold on a cool Sunday atmosphere as sixth place Arsenal battles Manchester city in a nerve cracking FA cup semi-final show of class and kinds. Indeed, it was one game soccer pundits had given their verdicts even before the game was played as not even the center referee could have envisaged the mystical turn of events given the odds that favors the lads from the Etihad stadium. Well, just like a rolled diced, the events became even more predictable when at the 62nd minutes into full time, Sergio Aguero slotted home an opener resulting from a reversed counter which the gunners lost right at the eighteen yard box of their city rival as the seasoned Petr Cech looked helpless seeing the ball chipped stylishly into the back of his net.

The euphoria which lasted for a short while saw a more determined Arsenal side fighting a no retreat battle as the team struggled tirelessly in keeping the game margin at par, seeking an equalizer with less than 30 minutes to the end of the game. The team which deserved more than to be a goal down, knew exactly what it meant to loose when you ought to to be an outright winner. They raced back at their opponents, continuing to pass the ball calmly as they gallantly searched for a perfect opportunity to nail the much needed equalizer.
The much searched grace paid up at the 71st minutes, as Oxlade Chamberlain in a fine and superb form, found space on the right, curried and curled a delicious ball to the far post. Monreal keeping pace, raced evenly as with a wrong foot, met the half volley which he spent no time in drilling it pass Bravo for a perfect equalizer which sent some chilled pills to the city fans who now watched in amazement as though the show has just begun.
The goal which sparked a rejuvenated gunners fans saw them doing "the Poznan" celebration as they quest for more given the sudden change of events. The last ten minutes of the game saw both teams missing some clear cut chances, but it was Danny Welbeck who had the last straw when he missed a golden match winner just some four minutes to end play.
The extra time which started rather cagily but calmly, saw the pressure sipping out of the two teams as they hustle along every ball in a quick bid to gain the half minutes advantage. From Yaya Toure to Alexis Sachez, it was game on as the duo worked so hard in keeping their teams in front as the game draws much nearer to a penalty anticipation.
Well, the round leather grace fell mystically on the gunners when at the 100th minutes, the attacking prowess of the Emirates Wembley visitors paid off with a fine finish from Alexis Sanchez who before now had eagerly wanted to register his name on the score-sheet. It was an attacking ambition rewarded, when from a corner, Lurient koscielny headed back across goal, welbeck took a swing but missed only for Alexis to poke in at the near post.
It was indeed more than deserved as the roofed nearly lifted off the red half of the Wembley Stadium as the Chilean raced away to celebrate what later turned out to be a superb decider in an encounter that started as tight, tensed, pressured and melodramatic.
That was it as Wenger's men secured a sealed FA cup final yet again for the 20th time against league leaders Chelsea scheduled for the 27th of May.
