I have declared my assets four times- PMB declared

President Muhammadu Buhari in yesterday media chat made known the issue that has prevaricated his government and some of the steps his administration is taking to put an end to such anomalies.

In his Maiden Media chat held in Abuja, the president  who answered questions from both panalist and the Nigerian masses through the Hatsetag twitter handle "#AskBuhari",  carefully analyses the fundamental question that has bothered so much on his administrative policies and directional pointer.

The president who confidently affirms his stance on corruption stated yesterday that he carefully selected his cabinet henchmen and did not pick anybody who will embarrass his government. He further argued that if for any reason any person is found wanting, such individual will be made to face the full rot of the law.

Similarly, the president also confirms that looters who are at large will be brought to book, while those whose cases are currently in courts,  will be made to face the full rot of the law if found guilty as charged.

He declared" I have been a democrats since 2002 and I don't think i tolerate corruption".

On the issue of his assets declaration, he fired rather historically with his confident analysis “I have declared my assets four times. First when I was governor of the North-Eastern state, then as the Minister of Petroleum and when I was leaving for War College in 1979 and, of course, when I became the head of state.

“But when I was leaving as head of state I did not declare because I ended up in detention for three and a half years.
“When I came out and got into politics I declared,’’ he said.
The president who spoke about the judiciary and it's corrupt judges as alleged,  didn't mix words when he said thus "But the judiciary is virtually a sitting duck, it is what the police take to them, it is what the lawyers present to them.
“So really to blame the judiciary, you are putting them in a very, very difficult position because they cannot work by themselves.
“They are massively contributions from other institutions for the judiciary to be corrupt.
“There has to be proof. You cannot just sit and say the judiciary is corrupt, it takes two to tango, somebody must be offering.’’
Similarly, when quizzed about the recent trials on certain persons which the court has granted bail and the DSS continual detention of such persons, the president stated rather explicitly “Technically, if you see the type of atrocities those people committed against the country, if they jump bail….he fired rather passionately
“The former president just wrote to the CBN governor, give N40 billion to so and so and you give the N40 billion and he goes to see his doctor in London, while there are two million people in IDPs.
“Half of them do not even know their fathers… Which type of government do you want to have,’’ the president asked.’’
Also, he maintained that devaluation of the naira is not the right answer to have either a strengthened currency nor absolute economic boost as they are indeed other ways to achieving such height.
