Obafemi Martins hints preparedness to play for Rio 2016

Ace super eagles tails man and Seattle sounders striker obafemi martins has hinted his desire and preparedness to feature at the Rio 2016 Olympics. The MLS star who is currently firing from all cylinders for club side Seattle sounders declared his intention to play for the Samson siasia's team if called upon.

According to the MLS player " I will be very honoured if am called upon to be part of the team"

"It's a great joy to represent my country in such a competition and I will not hesitate to play for country if given such opportunity"

Martins who was recently called to the super eagles after a long spell away from the national team had his first game with the super eagles during a qualifier match with Benin republic.

With his preparedness to play at the Rio 2016 Olympics, martins will become part of the three over aged player as required by the rule to join the rest of the team during the competition.

No doubt, Samson siasia who currently needs more strikers to execute the goals will definitely need the experienced of obafemi martins to fill in the needed vacuum as it were.

The city of Manchester still continues to count their loss as they search for unending answers why they have been made victims of such dastardly act. The Manchester arena couldn't be more sorrowful after the attack as sympathisers alongside friends and families of bereaved troop in to count their loss in honour of those who died.
