Eritrea story of two wives to one man false - Eritrea information minister

Following the dismal news that filtered the lips of many most especially in Nigeria, Kenya and some other parts of the African continent acknowledging the story of men been ordered to marry two wives or face severe punishment from the Erirtean government, the authorities in Eritrea  has not only debunked this rumour, but has also described it as fabricated and fallacious.

According to the Eritrea information minister Yemane Gebremeskel, the news is not only a falsity, but also ludicrous by all standing as he en joined the general public to disregard such story.

In a tweet from the information  minister page, it reads "the story illustrates [the] vileness of the dark forces of disinformation and proclivities of others to readily embrace the negative narrative on Eritrea".

similarly, he  tweeted again "the media frenzy to parrot this ludicrous, fabricated and trite story... is appalling".

According to a report, this story was first published by an online media website Crazy Monday based in Kenya.

Crazy Monday is published by standard newspaper is well recognised for its focus on scandalous and fake story in a quick bid to attract young readers says mathais  muindi, from the BBC media monitoring.

The story which filtered more in places like Nigeria saw various online caption caricature about some individuals who had the news and subsequently decides to take a quick train to Eritrea. Others painted a picture of individuals gathering at the embassy, flashing their newly
acquired Eritrean passport signalling "no time to waste time"

The twitter community was not left out of this hoax as it got trendy like a new fashion clothing line where everybody wants to buy. The haste tags was second to non as individuals wanted the said two wives as promised.

"Even a madman in [the Eritrean capital] Asmara would know that this story was not true," an Eritrean official told the BBC.

Consequently, some news outfit who had earlier tapped from this fake story had made an updated new story confirming the falsity of the first.
