Army rescue 150 hostages
Following the FG resolve to get rid of the dreaded Boko haram sect especially from the north east region, and in pursuit of the momentum already sustained so far by the military, the troops of the 7 division carried out a major onslaught in some strategic locations believed to be a hotspot for the sect.
In a statement issued by the acting director, army public relations colonel Sani Usman during a joint operations between the 7division and the cameroon ian forces along the banki-kumshe axis in Borno state, it was revealed that 20 of the sect members were killed.
Also, the troops destroyed several ammunitions and equipment believed to be owned by the sect group. Among this items includes 4 AK 47, a gun truck mounted with an anti- aircraft gun (AA), 60mm Mortar, a dane gun among others.
