Caf congratulates infantino

The confederation of African football Caf has congratulated the latest pride of Fifa. Caf who spoke through it head Isa Hayatou extends their hands of fellowship to the newly elected Fifa president Gianni infantino.

"Be assured of the continued support of Caf, African members of the new Fifa Council, as well as our commitment to strengthening the excellent relationship between Caf and Fifa,"

Hayatou who has been on the interim as president of Fifa prior to the elections believes the emergence of infantino will reshaped the lost image Fifa.

"We are confident that you will restore Fifa's image backed by your career, skills, passion for football, understanding of the issues related to the future of football, and your desire to develop our sport around the four corners of the world," said the Caf President.

Infantino takes over from ousted sepp blatter who has been president of Fifa since 1998.

Blatter together with fellow comrade at Uefa Michel Platini has been ban by Fifa from participating in all football related activities in the next six years after been found wanting of corrupt malpractices by the ethics committee.
