EFCC quizzes former minister of interior over immigration stampede recruitment

The chicken may have finally come to roast at the end of day as the former minister of interior affair Mr Abba Moro turns special guest to the Economic and financial crimes commission EFCC.

It would be recalled that the Nigerian Immigration service under his watch in 2014 organised a mass recruitment exercise around the nation which unfortunately turned sour at the end of the day.

The recruitment  wasn not only an exercise in futility for the over 600,000 vibrant graduates who entered for that scheme, but also led to death of over 20 young graduates who obviously because of the uncontrollable stampede gave up the ghost at an instant.

The incidents which was later brought at the committee level as set up by former president goodluck jonathan really didn't produce any meaningful results as the eventual reports never saw the light of day.

However, Abba Moro who has been at peace with self ever since the distasteful incident got a coastal ride during the previous administration as all became well once again.

Subsequently, his joy became shortlived when he was made a guest at the office of the EFCC Monday evening to account for his supposed role in the whole incidents been the head of affairs as at then.

Similarly, reports according to the anti-graft agency revealed that Mr Moro will soon be arraigned before a court of competent jurisdiction once investigations are duly and fully completed.

It will be recalled that during that recruitment exercise, applicants where made to pay N1000 for a job they were yet to get.
