2016 Budget: Goje, Jibrin seeks colleagues to look into sighted grey areas by the presidency

Chairmen of committees on appropriation in the National Assembly has passionately appealed to their colleagues in the two chambers to as a matter of urgency and rationality look closely into the grey areas been pointed out by the presidency. The two chairmen of both houses enjoined their colleagues to look beyond  the debate of who seems at fault and work diligently for the good of the people in which they so represents.

Senator Danjuma Goje and Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin appealed to their colleagues to dutifully cooperate with the executives in a like manner in obliging to Mr president request to get the National Assembly take a cursory look at the 2016 budget for a second time before it could signed by him.

No doubt, the presidency has refused to consent to the 2016 budget sighting some irregularities and adulteration which he believed must be corrected by the NASS members before he could consent to it. The president who sighted various pitfalls in the said budget sent to him couldn't append his signature because of obvious facts which he called illogical.

Similarly, in a joint press statement released yesterday by the two chairmen, they indicated the need for a speedy process in attending to the present contending issues surrounding the validity of the budget so that implementation could begin in no short time by the executives for the General good of all Nigerians. They however debunked any wrong doing as been speculated in  the public domain involving their committees as they stand firm on what is right which is getting their colleagues to look closely into the presidents demand as quickly as possibly for the benefit of Nigeria and also for the overall good of those they so represent.

The two chairmen believed that this isn't the time for grandstanding while noting that all parties involved should as a mater of urgency get their acts together and serve Nigerians the best of governance which they so desire.

The two chairmen stressed the need for an end to this current controversies as they remain optimistic that getting their colleagues to look into this grey areas as raised by Mr president wouldn't go beyond  this week before the presidency finally consent to the 2016 budget for onward implementation to start.
