Some sound notes for Gov. Fayose

The Governor of Ekiti state Ayodele  Fayose no doubt has got a flair for media publicity only that he chose the wrong platform to exhibit this kind of inbuilt talents. One thing is sure- Mr Fayose would have soar a little much more better if he had picked  "acting or better still stage performance" as career rather than indulge in politics as it were. Trust me, no one would have made it so better in this present day Nollywood than Gov. Ayodele Fayose. Firstly, he will not only bring back the glory days of the tabloids , he sure will garner much more media hype and celeb paparazzi than one could ever imagine as not even the best Hollywood stars can compete favorably. Think of it - Is it granting ceaseless interviews, red carpets moments, scandals, getting juicy stories - common, he sure will strive much more better that not even DENRELE EDUN could match him in any kind of publicity stunts.

Seriously, truth be told, Mr Fayose chose the wrong career as the obvious are just too glaring enough that even the blind could attest swiftly.  He sure didn't ask too many question before he decided to jump before limping on such a drive lane, sitting on the Governors seats where silence is not only reverence, but considered sacred. Such a noble seat where decorum is bliss and candor is considered a virtue. A chair where the nobility of silence is not only considered the greatest weaponry one desires in his Arsenal, but also considered much more Golden than that of the best speeches of all time. Oh Gov. Fayose! How did you venture into such seat of serenity reserves for men with the greatest of all thinking caps?

If assumption is anything worth taking seriously, one would have assume that an Ekiti man would barely fall into such space of the public circle where ridicule lies. But alas, such logic has been turned into an overnight misconception once believed as facts both home and abroad in a state tagged as "The Fountain of knowledge". Oh Mother! How did we get into such entrapment?

Fair enough, some may argue thus as to defend his garrulous nature stating the obvious - he is outspoken, he is this, he is that they will conclude- But then, if it is not the story of birds of a feather flocking together, this same marauders of advocates should have ask themselves thus- what is the duty of a Spokesperson, Media aide, Publicity Secretary and some other personal lieutenants? (No answer I guess, not surprise either). Secondly, these PR fellers should also ask themselves thus- is it at all times that a Gov. Should indulge self in issues which of course are only not irrelevant to the workings in his state, but are majorly outside stately policy which as a matter of concern doesn't put food on the table of an average Ekiti man? Hmm! Sycophancy they say, is truly a disease. *Silence is never more Golden than when you hold it long enough to get all the facts before you speak*.. ..na wa oh, his advisers must av been doing a bad job no doubt.

Been a Governor no doubt carries a lot of responsibilities aside been functional as a public officer. Aside the position of the president, been a Governor is one sacred office one needs to pilot in a pristine way so as to avoid petty scandals and unnecessary media diagnosis all for the wrong reasons. The office of the Governor if anything  is to go by is sacred and should be treated as one. Apart from the fact that no man is perfect, it is a fact of unambiguity that one need not be a saint before he learns the act of both prayers and candor. The truth seems bitter but time has come for all men to learn the art of chewing it without tears in their eyes for fear of the unknown. Nigeria must be great again, and that is only possibly if we all stand up against public treachery so as not to set up a bad precedent for the generation yet unborn.

Silence is a great teacher, and to learn its lessons you must pay attention to it. There is no substitute for the creative inspiration, knowledge and stability that come from knowing how to contact your of inner silence. The great Sufi poet Rumi wrote- Only let the moving waters calm down, and the sun and moon will be reflected on the surface of your being. There is absolutely no need trying to over emphasized the position of silence in regards to personality, but then, when the occasion becomes much more derailing than normal, then there is no gain waiting for a soothsayer when the die becomes cast as all hand must be on deck to salvaging what now seems like a lost symbol.

Though, this may not be personal, but it is my humble opinion that Gov. Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state should learn the wise art of using his silence as his greatest weaponry in all issues- both internal and external. As that remains the only one instrument if one must succeed in a courtyard.......#IStandForTruth
