What next for the rescued Chibok Schoolgirls

Two years ago, it all started like a movie as the news of their abduction filtered round not only the nook and crannies of the local scene but also capturing the eyes of the international community crisps-crossing the thin  racial fine line between gender equality and global rights balancing. There was no doubt agreeing with the fundamentals as to the existence of terrorism which is indeed fast becoming a Global phenomenon, but then, there was every doubt agreeing to an absolutely painful fact that over 200 schoolgirls were whisked away from their respective dormitories unnoticed to the various security structures in place at a time when the issue of security became an item of National relevance going by the fast spate of insurgency been orchestrated by some radical Islamic terror group (Boko Haram). The news not only became an issue requiring topmost priority from the Nigerian Government but it also became a story juicy enough for the international community in pegging the relevance of education to the Girl child using the context reality of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls.

To some, the story was a classic orchestration valid enough for an Oscar, to others, it was the biggest joke of the century while to some more, it was a calculated political move meant to discredit the Government of the day as according to this school of thought there was never an abduction at the first instance. Be that as it may, the cloud was glaring enough as there was no gain arguing the existence of Government Girls Secondary School Chibok where the supposed abduction took place. As the tension continued, the Chibok community became an household nomenclature gaining much more relevance than the white house building at the Capitol Hill as it caught the attention of all and sundry devouring the global distinct lines of geography, distance and segregation as the world spoke out with one voice hence the slogan BRING BACK OUR GIRLS .

As the ultimate search begun, the mission got clearer as various civil society groups and campaign organization for the rescue of the missing schoolgirls became more interested not only on their rescue but also on their safe arrival which according to them was paramount and should be treated with such priority given the circumstances in which they were so kidnapped. The international media wasn't left out  as several campaign ads clamored so vehemently for the safe arrival of this Girls who on April 14, 2014 got whisked away from their respective dormitories as they prepare for their final year examinations (West African  Examination Council). The conveners of the campaign here in Nigeria became even more resolute than ever as they clamored, sang songs of freedom, reminded the government so consistently as to their efforts, walked the nook and crannies of the Nigeria streets as they remained dogged in the struggle for the rescue of this Girls.....Two years on..........It was not until recently that the dreaded sect group released some footage's of the Girls which however brightened the pains of Nigerians most especially their loved ones as it once again rekindles back the hope of their rescue believed to have been thrown into the deep blue sea.

Subsequently, that video finally became some sort of an hope templates revealing that darkest brightened light at the end of a tunnel as it soon came to pass the very many wishes of the various campaign groups clamoring for the rescue of this Girls as the very first out of the over 200 kidnapped schoolgirls was found (Amina Ali)then a second (Sarah Luke). Hmm! Sure, one could get a possible sigh from such a news but then, reality checks seems far from just been rescued as there is so much more to be done than imagine now that the once faded light at the end of the tunnel is fast becoming full fledged as events unfolds but firstly, the right holes must be meticulously rounded with a perfect shape as this for the now will set the course tilting towards a positively inclined scale.

Now, though the struggle continues until Victoria Acerta for the remaining Girls still under the serrated bolts and nuts of their captors, but then, one cannot but begin to make a case for this bird at hand even though there are so many still at large over there in the cold. Firstly, it is important we sound it so categorical devoid of any ambiguities that it is far from been enough that Mr president met with the rescued Girls, where he promised that the FG will henceforth see to their educational pursuit. Sure, that by itself  is never a bad idea going by the "where" and "how" they were abducted ab initio but then, the Nigerian government must understand both the psychological and physiological pain, mental and emotional trauma this rescued Girls must have gone through in the hands of this deadly Islamic fundamentalist terror group prior to their eventual freedom. They must put into consideration the hazards they must have gone through in the last two years and provide all professional modalities in ensuring that the best and only the best wizards get the job done. The euphoria of all the "Welcome Ceremony" must stop and the government should as a matter of urgency get to work in seeing that the proper things are done at the appropriate timing in a very holistic manner as this rescued Girls can longer afford the long wait as if they are still under captivity. Post traumatic stress is something that cannot be over emphasized most especially for such victims of circumstances given the untold hypnosis and indoctrination they must have undergone while in captivity. They need to be checked in all ramifications before it becomes too late as it better eaten fresh than look for microwave solution when it turns cold.

For the campaigners and those well meaning faithfuls who occupied the streets on a daily basis, sang songs of freedoms, clamored for the return of the Chibok schoolgirls and invested their time on such course, to them i say a mightily bravo even though all are yet to be rescued alive. However, now that at least one out of the lots has been seen, it is imperative and very sacrosanct that they commence work immediately in seeing to the immediate rehabilitation, social welfare and all that his needed to be done within the ambit of their strength and vigor for it is never enough just to occupy the streets and clamor for the return of this abducted schoolgirls with no adequate structures in place should in case the unexpected happen as it has now become in the glaringly Grace case of Amina Ali and that of  Sarah Luke. We must not compromise on the inadequacies of our institutions, the job must be done now as the situation in which we so find ourselves has now become that requiring the immediate attention of all those who championed, clamored, cried and prayed for the safe arrival of this Girls. Yes, it is quite understandable that constraints are inevitable in all situations but then, this has gone beyond just "Celebrating their Arrival" with a folded arms and crossed legs while the real isle is left unattended.

As for the international communities and those who over stretched the limits of the Nigerian government in seeing that this missing schoolgirls are rescued alive, mere words are never enough in issue like this as they are more to be done than just been a whistler standing on mount Olympian presiding over a case given the relevance of this case to the global gender rights of the Girl child as it involves Education and all other welfare structure. The international communities who stood for, gave this cause a Global spotlight and engineered the oil of our security intelligent units all in an efforts to seeing the safe arrival of the missing Chibok schoolgirls, though not all may have been seen but then the time has come for them to act swiftly now that  Amina Ali and Sarah Luke needs more of their candid supports and widows might. It is not enough to preside over the case of their abduction, enough of this sideline practices as the appointed time has come for them to match words with the adequate action  it deserves.

Finally, it is pertinent to state here categorically and so emphatically without fear or favor to the listening pleasure of the Nigerian Government that to the sole fact that Amina Ali and Sarah Luke has been found, the struggle is far from over as it not yet time for any sort of a "Eureka Moments"  as more needs to be done to seeing the safe arrival of the remaining 217 Chibok schoolgirls still under the monstrous treachery of this Islamic fundamentalist terror group as it will only be foolhardy to rest on their oars celebrating a victory which is far from been won..........WE NEED ALL OUR GIRLS-ALIVE..........NEVER TO BE FORGOTTEN 217CHIBOKSCHOOLGIRLS STILL AT LARGE
