Pope Francis prays for Nigeria

Following his Christmas message at the Vatican, Pope Francis who remembered the global community in his Christmas message couldn't help but have a moments of solemn rendition to the most populous black African nation on earth. The Catholic Pontiff who prayed for Nigeria in times of their current distress situation, also offers his divine supports as he wish them out of their current challenges of terrorism that has caused the nation so much pain and anguish.

"Peace to the men and women in various parts of Africa, especially in Nigeria, where fundamentalist terrorism exploits even children in order to perpetrate horror and death".

The Pope also commune with those displaced in war torn Syria as they struggle on their toes on a daily basis to find safety and humanitarian help. He also offered his absolute empathy to the people of Aleppo who had been the greatest of all victims in the Syrian civil war that has lasted for over five years now and still counting.

"Peace to men and women in the war-torn land of Syria, where far too much blood has been spilled.  Above all in the city of Aleppo, site of the most awful battles in recent weeks, it is most urgent that assistance and support be guaranteed to the exhausted civil populace, with respect for humanitarian law"

Also, in a related development, the Catholic Pontiflex Magnus expresses his absolute condolences to the good people of Russia who suffered great tragedy Sunday when a Russian military jet plane crashed into the Black sea killing over 90 persons on board.

"I express my sincere condolences for the sad news of the Russian plane that crashed into the Black Sea," the Pope said.  "May the Lord console the dear Russian people and the families of the passengers who were on board: journalists, crew and the excellent choir and orchestra of the armed forces.  May the blessed Virgin Mary sustain the search operations underway.  In 2004, the choir performed in the Vatican for the 26th year of the pontificate of Saint John Paul II.  Let us pray for them."
