Trump battles UN as Kerry rebukes Israel

Following the sudden and quick resolution made by the United Nation in a UN vote passed last week, United States president elect Donald Trump is still very much at logger heads with both the UN vote pass and that of the role which was supposedly played by the Washington states house in allowing such measure to be passed against major ally and long standing middle eastern friend.

Donald Trump who had since the resolution raised serious concern about the Obama's administration in trying to create a sordid arrangement between Israel and the United States had indicated that in the nearest future, he will undo some of the unhealthy wits made by the white in deference to his administration.

Trump who raised serious concern about the resolution which was passed Friday, criticized the strident measure melted out on Israel. According the president elect, such measures could hinder whatever peaceful steps that maybe taken by his administration noting that the vote pass wasn't for the benefit of any positive diplomacy in trying to quell the long standing Israel-Palestinian issue.

In a series of so many 140 characters, Donald Trump who took a swipe at both the UN and Washington, assured the Israel nation of a better days ahead despite their current global challenges which they now face at the hand of the United Nations coupled with the sheer accomplices of the white house. Trump assured Prime Minister Netanyahu to hold-on just a little short while as he prepares to assume office as head in charge of the Oval office come Jan 20.

“We cannot continue to let Israel be treated with such total disdain and disrespect,” Trump tweeted. “The beginning of the end was the horrible Iran deal, and now this (U.N.!) Stay strong, Israel, January 20th is fast approaching!

The UN vote passage asking Israel to halt any settlement bid at the west bank and also eastern Jerusalem remains a case that will forever stay glued to the mind of the Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu who described the act as been "shameful" while criticizing Washington for failing to rise up to the occasion for their rescue when it maters most at the world stage.

However, following a quick move to clear the US position on the recent UN vote, US secretary of states John Kerry who visited Israel Wednesday told the middle eastern ally the position of the US during the vote measure and why subsequently the US abstain from compromising the passage policy halting Israel's settlement in the west bank.

“President Obama and I know that the incoming administration has signaled that they may take a different path,” Mr. Kerry said at the State Department. “But we cannot in good conscience do nothing, and say nothing, when we see the hope of peace slipping away.”

“The vote in the United Nations was about preserving the two-state solution,” he said. “That’s what we were standing up for: Israel’s future as a Jewish and democratic state, living side-by-side in peace and security with its neighbors.”

The address unfolded against a backdrop of an unusual exchange between Mr. Trump and Mr. Netanyahu, both of whom appeared to deride Mr. Obama’s approach and look ahead to their own official relationship beginning soon. Before Mr. Kerry’s speech, Mr. Trump tweeted that Israel should “stay strong” until Jan. 20, when he takes office.

Mr. Netanyahu took to his own podium following Mr. Kerry’s speech to rebuke it, saying the biggest obstacle to peace has been Palestinian leaders’ refusal to accept Israel’s existence.According to the prime minister, Israel need not be lectured on how to make peace saying its the Palestinian who have grossly hindered any positive achievement thus far.

Saeb Erekat, the chief Palestinian negotiator, said Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas would return to talks with Israel when it ceased settlement activities and implemented the points in the U.N. Security Council resolution.
