How Abacha's recovered loot was spent- Okonjo Iweala

Former minister of finance and coordinating minister of the economic Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala has told the world bank how the recovered loot from the then head of state Gen. Sani Abacha was spent.  This information was contained in a document the world bank sent to the  to Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP.  This was however on the request of SERAP following enquiries on how the money was spent. A statement issued yesterday by SERAP executive director Adetokunbo Mumuni, said the organization has “received several documents from the World Bank totalling over 700 pages on information on the spending of recovered assets stolen by the late General Abacha, with some of the documents suggesting that the Abacha loot was spent on roads, electricity, education, health and water.” “SERAP can confirm that last week we received several documents from Ann May of the Access to Information Team of the World Bank following our Access to Information...

And I had also contacted a local doctor out there. However, even though I did do a few other performances like that; I wasn’t planning to be that energetic at that event. But I got so much love from the crowd in Uganda and it was very emotional for me, considering the stage of the pregnancy at the time. Before, I got there; I had doubts about how I would be received and if I was going to be made to sit on a stool during the performance. But when I got there, everyone was warm, loving and understanding of my situation. In all, that performance was unexpected. Bomb Blast Hits Muslim Procession In Kano

The city of Kano has been hit by a suicide bomb blast. The unidentified suicide bomber detonated the explosives during a Shia Muslim procession. Twenty-one people have been confirmed killed with several others injured. The blast took place in the village of Dakasoye, about 20km (13 miles) south of Kano, Nigeria’s second largest commercial city. The suicide bomber reportedly disguised among the Shiite followers who were processing to Zaria in commemoration of one of their festivals. Although the Police in Kano State are yet to make an official statement on the attack, the leader of the movement in Kano, Sheikh Muhammad Turi, told our correspondent that his followers apprehended one of the suspects who has been handed over to the Police. A florida man who killed his wife and posted body parts on facebook have be convicted and found guilty as charged by a united states court. Derek Medina, who purposefully killed his wife posted a photo of her dead body on facebook with the caption "Rip alfonso" was found guilty of second degree murder, shooting a deadly missile and child neglect all of which the courted asserted to him after a careful six hours of deliberation in the court room. Rapper Lil Boosie made a bombshell revelation on social media moments ago, revealing that he was recently diagnosed with kidney cancer   "I need all my fans to pray for me," Boosie - who also goes by Boosie Badazz, and whose real name is Torrence Hatch - wrote on Instagram.
