News Alert:Supreme court Affirms election of Governor wike

News Alert: Supreme Affirms the election of Governor Nyesom wike of rivers state state as the duly elected governor of the state.

 Though, as it is a unanimous judgement by a seven man panel of the apex court, the reason for the judgement is to be listed on 12th Febuary.

Given the ruling on Wednesday, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun set aside the later judgement as delivered by the Appeal court which nullified the election of the governor stating non-compliance of electoral rules.

It will be recall that the court of Appeal had on December 16 , 2015 struck out the application of Mr wike seeking a dismissal of the judgement of the rivers state election petition tribunal which apparently sacked Mr wike as governor of the state stating a total non compliance with the guidelines and provisions of the independent national electoral commission INEC.

Manchester still in pains

The city of Manchester still continues to count their loss as they search for unending answers why they have been made victims of such dastardly act. The Manchester arena couldn't be more sorrowful after the attack as sympathisers alongside friends and families of bereaved troop in to count their loss in honour of those who died.
