Army nabs fake military colonel

In line with the administrative resolve to get rid of social disturbances and restore back the security welfare of Nigerians, the Nigerian Army yesterday paraded one prince onyemauche faking his identity as a military colonel.

According to the Army spokesman colonel Sani Usman, the Imo born suspects has been in the habit of lining himself with certain un candid military officers who obviously serves as military escort anytime he sojourns the road for his unholy business deals.

Colonel Usman explains that the suspects who was in possession of a Toyota Tacoma pickup van had earlier escaped a routine checkpoint in Abaji axis after his fake identification as a colonel alongside his unscrupulous military escort who made the story looks genuine. Luck however ran out of this illicit team same day(Sunday) as  they were subsequently nabbed at the Gwagwalada area of Abuja along wazobia motor park together with a military Sergent named Philippe Jacobs.

Colonel Usman also revealed that when the van was eventually checked at the Gwagwalada Barracks, several ammunition were found including an AK 47 riffles with reg number 3290,  four magazines, a pistol, 21 x 9mm parabelluim ammunition, 6 mobile phones, 12 cheque books, a sum of over a million naira among other items.

Colonel Usman who stated that while onyemauche will be handed over to the police for onward investigation and prosecution, the three identified soldiers who does this criminal act of escort without a valid military authorization will be on awaiting trial by a court martial.
