Comptroller General of Nigeria prisons summon by Reps over alleged assault on a female lawmaker

The Nigerian National Assembly has taking a swipe on the comptroller General of the Nigerian prisons Mr. Peter Ekpendu for his un candid tendencies towards a female Nigerian law maker during an outing involving his convoy.

According to reports, Mrs. Joan Mrakpor, who female happened to be federal law maker was assaulted by some aides attached to the convoy of the comptroller General of the Nigerian prisons.

In a motion moved by the minority leader of the house Hon. Leo Ogor, he noted that such rascality displayed by the convoy of the CG not only amounted to an embarrassment to the face of the National Assembly but it's also a flagrant breach of the rules of the house.

In resolution, the house has decided not only to summon the CG to appear before the legislative chambers to explain the rationale behind the alleged assault and battering of a female law maker by security aides attached to his convoy.

Similarly, the house has also unanimously moved to invite the minister of interior along with other units heads to appear before the National Assembly for a better clarification and understanding.
