Major stakeholders of the PDP demands a credible zoning structure as party holds National convention soon
Following the restructuring of the party and onward harmonization of all its members -both new and old, major stakeholders of the opposition People's Democratic Party PDP has sounded a major warning to the leadership of her party over concerns involving the party's zoning formula as it will affect the forthcoming national convention of the party.
Mr Tanimu Taraki who spoke with journalist after a carefully deliberated forum meeting stressed the need for the leadership of the party to allow for the right zoning structure in the forthcoming convention schedule for may this year.
According to the chairman of the forum, if the structural arrangement fails to comply with the norms of the party and also contravenes the wishes of the people, then there is absolutely no gain saying danger looms in the coming days ahead.
Mr Taraki who stated that there should be a fair landing ground for both the minority and the majority who will eventually have their way noted that should the convention not produce officers reflecting the wishes of the people, then the party structure might loose her root base of standing firmly.
On the issue involving the acclaimed zoning of the position of National chairman of the party to the northeast, Mr Taraki stressed that no particular geographical filing has been apportioned to such position insisting that members of the forum who are card carried members of the PDP zoning committee are yet to be briefed on such information and arrangements.
Taraki who canvases for a free, fair and credible process stated unambiguously plain when he reiterated her stand for justice, equity and fairness among the ranks of party members and caucuses.
