Ondo, Yobe goes out for polls elections today

The ondo state local government councils polls seems to be ongoing as different political parties vie for the 18 councils seats available for contest. With the All Progressive congress failed attempts to get a court order stopping today's elections, there has been reports that the election might be a one sided affair given the initial boycotting notice from the state major opposition party.

The ondo state independent electoral commissioner Prof. Olugbenga Ige has promised a free, fair and credible elections giving the track record of the state in conducting credible polls. Prof. Ige noted that this will not be an avenue for compromise as that according to her contravenes the very essence of the polls. 
The state which have not had a councils polls election ever since the last which was conducted by the late. Olusegun Agagu Administration, will be looking forward to getting elected councils chairmen who will listen to the cry and hear the pain of the grass root environment. 
Electoral observers has however reported a large turnout in Akoko and some others LGAs, as there seems to be relative peace among voters casting their ballots. 
Similarly, in another round election, the Yobe state electoral commission will be conducting a bye- election into the vacant seat which was formerly occupied by Hon. Kadija Bukar Ibrahim who represented Damaturu, Gubja, Gulani and Tarmuwa federal constituency before she was eventually picked by the president to be a Minister in his cabinet. 
The Minister of states for foreign affairs after casting her votes at the Damaturu polling station praised the Independent electoral commission for a yeoman job in conducting a free, fair and credible polls. 
Four political parties are involved in this polls viz; Advance Congress for Democracy(ACD), All Progressive congress(APC), National Concience Party(NCP) and the People's Democratic Party(PDP).

The city of Manchester still continues to count their loss as they search for unending answers why they have been made victims of such dastardly act. The Manchester arena couldn't be more sorrowful after the attack as sympathisers alongside friends and families of bereaved troop in to count their loss in honour of those who died.
