Why we reopened Silverbirdgroup-AMCON

Following the closure of the Silverbird Conglomerate by the Assets Manangement Corporation of Nigeria AMCON due its inability to pay her N11bn accrued debt, the management has decided to reopen the Silverbird group so as to enable them meet up their financial responsibilities. The Silverbird group which was sealed Thursday June, 23 will now have its Abuja, Port Harcourt and Lagos branch resume back operations so as to fulfill her debt obligation.
                                       
According to the Lawyer representing the debt recovery manager AMCON over seeing the recovery of the Group Mr Muiz Bunire,  he said the move became imminent so as to allow the corporation recover her debt been owed by the Silverbird Group. Mr Kunle Adegoke who hinted that the reopening of the businesses should not come as a surprise to many Nigerians stated that the company ab initio was only repossessed and not liquidated as many may want to infer.

" The purpose of receivership the businesses are run consistently and to recover the loan that his outstanding against the three companies as it is to this effect that we have directed the immediate reopening of the businesses come Friday

" That the receiver has taken over the finances of the organization together together with the administrative office "

Mr Adegoke further stated that AMCON will always superintend over the affairs of businesses not only to ensure total compliance but also to see to their consistency and effective profitability. He further added that Mr Ben Murray Bruce along with her brothers will be carried along in the day today running of the business following this new development.
