Nnamdi Kanu turns philanthropist in kuje prisons

Self styled biafran war lord Mazi Nnamdi kanu seems to be making hot waves at his FCT June Prison, kuje, where he is currently been remanded for his role in the resurgent of the biafra movement emancipation. Nnamdi kanu who is a led sponsor of the biafra structure is now making the best out of his situation as he sponsors the 2016 kuje football championship competition.

According to the IPOB leader who declared the competition opened on the 29th July, 2016 at the prisons hub in kuje, the radio biafra superstar noted that he was moved by the inmates determination and resilience despite been limited to the outside world. Kanu who said that his motive of sponsoring this cause was for the promotion of their freedom of movement beyond prison wall, also stressed his desire to encouraging a strong inter-personal relationship among inmates using such means.

Reacting to his kind gestures, ex leader of the inmates, Mr Emeka Sivan, thanked the IPOB ring leader for his benevolence and rare kindness in giving the inmates an opportunity to exploring what normally is attained in the out world. Mr. Sivan said that this is an opportunity for all prison inmates who look beyond the prison four walls to discover their talents as they look forward to better days ahead.

The prison championship is an annual event, aimed at fostering peaceful co-existence between inmates and prison officers. Last year competition was won by Arsenal prison team.
