Nigeria MP suspended
The Nigerian parliament has suspended one of her member over allegation of breach of house rules been orchestrated by the said member. The lower legislative chambers otherwise known as the house of representative in a session plenary yesterday read the house rules under which was breached according to her parliament rules. In a session presided over by the deputy speaker of the House Hon. Yusuf Lasun, the suspended member Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin is expected to be away for 180 days while he tendered an unreserved apology within his suspension period before he eventually resumes future legislative responsibilities.
In a unanimous adoption by the House Committee on ethics and privileges, Hon. Jibrin is also barred from accepting any other governmental appointments or employment while under his current suspension away from legislative duties due to breached of House rules over allegations made against certain principal officers without substantive claims or evidence.
According to calculations, Hon. Jibrin is expected to be away from his official legislative duties for 60 weeks as House sits for just three times a week.
Similarly, in a reaction to his suspension, the lawmaker has vowed to take the appropriate legal action to seeing that he not only gets Justice but also bring those behind the said corrupt act to book most especially Speaker Yakubu Dogora whose office has been maligned over the said "Budget Padding" as raised by the lawmaker who was sacked as Chairman on Committee on Budget and Appropriation.
Hon. Jibrin in an interview called the resolution to suspend him as "Inconsequential" saying that he will not tender any act of apology as he have not committed any offense warranting such resolution.

- After first day of attendance, Hon. Jibrin vowed not to attend the schedule date of sitting by the Committee stating the obvious that he may not get a fair hearing as the Speaker had deployed certain" tricks and Theatrics" to save the day to his detriment on getting justice.
- After failing to attend for another schedule date, Hon. Jibrin got suspended on the 28th September 2016 by the House Committee on Ethics and Privileges in a unanimous decision.
