PAP distributes 900 laptops to students across the Niger Delta

The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme Dr. Dennis Otuaro through his office has distributed additional 900 laptops to various concerning institutions across the Niger Delta region. This is marking the third batch of beneficiaries under her scholarships scheme across Nigeria Universities. The items were present under the directive of the PAP Administrator Friday, January 30th 2026 while reiterating the importance of quality education in schools across the federation. 

Addressing the media on the importance of human capital development, the PAP Administrator who spoke through his special assistant on special project Sokoto Victor stressed the need for a continued support towards the growth and development of schools across the federation. He further stated that this initiative became imminent considering the impact it will define in the lives of the beneficiaries as they thrive to better their future through education. 

Some of the benefitting schools includes students from partnering institutions viz; Nigeria Maritime University and Admiralty University of Nigeria, as well as non-partnering schools; Dennis Osadebey University, Southern Delta University, and the University of Delta.

                                                                

“This laptop distribution underscores our strong commitment to the overall academic success of our students. This laptop is an essential tool meant to enhance your learning, research, and innovation.

“We encourage you to utilise them responsibly so that you can achieve outstanding results and justify your enlistment for the scholarship scheme,” he said.

While expressing their contenance on receipt of the items, some of the students describe the intervention as timely, exact, and, precise noting that it will go a long way towards enhancing their academic lives. Others, emphasis the need for more special intervention noting such positive strides will serves as encouragement to students most especially those who lack the capacity to afford one. 

The PAP Administrator since assuming office in March 2024 has deployed over 10,000 Nigerian University student into various industry field related courses both within and outside the country for training, special programs, and professional workshops. The office has continued to appreciates the continued support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as well as that of the National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu for their unalloyed support and massive intervention towards making these giants strides a reality.
